Getting from here to there (part 2)

In early August I wrote about coaching, and breaking any desired behavior change down into a series of smaller, actionable steps.

The image I used was of a civil engineering project close to my home , using girders as a metaphor for the framework to support you and recognizing that changing them can be hard.



Fast forward a few months and this is the same site. The hard work is almost done, and what appears on the surface is the finished project (OK there are a few tweaks to make - just like you always find things to work on yourself!)


And so it is with coaching, you can become disheartened with the amount and complexity of changes to make, but with steady support you can accomplish much.
