Earned a Masters in Mathematics in 1894

Had her first child in 1897

She was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize (Physics, 1903)

Had her second child in 1904

She was the first woman professor at the University of Paris (1906)

She was the first person (to date there are only three others) to win two Nobel Prizes (Chemistry was in 1911)

Founded the Institut Curie, a private non-profit foundation for research into cancer in 1920

Died in 1934 of cancer caused by radiation exposure
