I recently posted on the books I've read this year and the ideas, insights and joy they have brought me and I realised I had also listened to many audio books too
Where do you listen to books? On the bus or plan?
Rick Rubin and I went deep into creativity on a flight to London (and a bit on either end of the 14 hour trip)
In the gym or on your commute? do you walk and listen? Scott Adams helped me reframe many of my failures in the eclectic How to fail at almost anything and still win big
They are so easy to listen to wherever you are. To my intense delight I recently found myself walking around London and Singapore with Ben Zander and Adam Grant
And should you have to buy a last minute gift an audiobook is quick portable and super easy to share
Finally not all books are made for learning - some are listened to for entertainment
The Murderbot Diaries series features a dystopian future with a security bot who has deleted it's governor module - and is no longer taking orders from "The Corporation", instead as it awkwardly decodes human communications and emotions it tries to decide what it wants to do, not what it was programmed to do...
Happy Listening!
