The Best Things I Learned in Training: Turning a complaint into a request

Behind every complaint is a desire to see things improve

So next time you hear someone complaining, ask them how they would like to see things improved

Help them get specific: What would that look like? Who would notice? What would they be noticing?

And then help them think through who they could speak with or communicate their request to

As a leader complaints are a rich seam of process improvement ideas to lift the team and productivity
