Reframing

There's a different way to look at almost everything

Not bad or good, just different. The better you are at looking at a problem, situation or goal in more than one way, the more likely you are to find a way to improvise, adapt or overcome (to use a phrase) Some common reframes I've come across recently are below

Nervous --> Excited

Frustrated --> Intuitively I know there is a better way

Anxious --> This is important to me

Mental Health --> Mental Fitness

Soft Skills --> Human Skills

This is broken --> How can we make this stronger?

What would you add?

Instead of saying "have to", reframe it to "choose to".

For example, when we say "I have to follow up with these people / organizations", it can feel like a chore.

When we reframe it to "I choose to follow up so that I can add value and transform their lives", you find yourself wanting to do it, not because you have to, but because you choose to.
