Most of us admire those around us and in our world that show a little hustle. And we admire the successful too - their drive, passion and above all their results. But there is so much to unpack in those statements:
How much hustle is too little and how much is too much? and what is it that drives the glorification of hustle in its extreme (hustle porn as it is sometimes known) where family, friends, sleep and (long term) health are sacrificed for the grind, the push (and the incessant posting about it on social media)?
And the "successful" people who post to amplify their own accomplishments to the detriment of others, the humble braggers ("it wasn't my first million that made me reflect...")
Whatever your religious beliefs we are only alive for a limited amount of time (this time around)
So before you buy into the hustle porn / success bully narrative I have a few questions for you
How do you want to spend your time?
What does success look like? (hint: start with health, family, life goals and back into career, housing and other material goods)
What ever the answer, ask, how much time do you want to devote to achieving to the above?
how much time is too little?
how much too much?
who needs to know?
If you are going to spend a lot of time to make money, I'd like to point out that time does not equal money, time equals life, and when you get to toxic hustle levels  remember you are swapping life for that hustle - is the goal worth swapping your life for?
If the answer is a yes... have at it!
If the answer is a no, then maybe you need to think again
I write about these topics as I am still working through was a good approach is to take. If you have suggestions - or your own questions please feel free to share
