No one looks back and remembers the nights they got plenty of sleep

And yet the science suggests you can't sustain a productive healthy life on too little sleep

Try a week of going to bed at the same time and rising at the same time giving yourself seven hours minimum

Build a wrap up routine including limiting screen time for 90 minutes before you go to bed

Avoid caffeine for ten hours before bed (this is an experiment trust me)

Try to eat at least two hours before you lie down for the night

Oscar may have been wrong about this...

Now the above might sound like a big ask; all I'm asking is that you try it and keep a short diary of how you feel after a week of doing that. Yes you might have to say no to a late night call or two (they can share a recording or you can delegate) and maybe adjust your plans for the weekend, but if the end result is better sleep, more energy, improved memory, mood and relationships, it's worth the try out!

And you can definitely break this routine if you feel like it, but just remember doing the opposite is not a long term sustainable behaviour
